We have tried every breakfast around and this place is the best! Seriously we have eaten at numerous places in Emory, Yantis and all around the lake. This is the #1 spot. ALWAYS GOOD! Cute place too in an old gas station. Don't miss it if you are in the area.

A friend and I went after church on Sunday. We were disappointed we couldn't order breakfast as we got there too late. I had the club with Onion Rings and she had the BLT with fries. Everything including the coffee was great. Will be back again.

We have been going here weekly for the past year. Always fresh, always delicious. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner - its all SO GOOD! I got the club sandwich for lunch a few weeks back, and have gotten it twice more since then.

And good food and clean dining area. The staff were friendly, and our drinks stayed filled.food came out in a timely manner. It all tasted great. Had the house salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing, and four pieces of grilled fish. The fish was a bit spicy, just a heads up. Also we had the club sandwich, chicken fried steak, and beef and cheese nachos. Everyone was happy with their choices

I was born and raised on Galveston Island and am a "B.O.I. Certified Fried Shrimp Expert." I've had so many non-coastal restaurants claim how great their shrimp are but, not. Either tiny piece of shrimp in a big wad of batter, or little shrimp dipped in cornmeal, etc. BUT, take it from me, Alba Cafe has THE most delicious fried shrimp I've ever eaten. And very reasonable! You'll think you're in Galveston when you eat these shrimp!
